1998 MBA graduate Sung Gong “Mac” Kang reported on the recent birth of a son and his promotion to executive director of his firm, Daejin Kostal, holder of the largest market share of paper shredders in Korea. Mac recently met fellow MBA alumnus Thales Panagides during a trade show in the USA. 1989 CICS graduate Professor Inhee Lee will again bring a group of his KyungHee University students this summer to Ball State for a special course in telecommunications. The most recent returnee to Korea, Hyoung Kook Bahng, completed his visiting scholar experience in Muncie in November 2002. He was recent appointed chief desk reporter for Metro newspapers, with a daily circulation of over 400,000. Gyeong-Ho Hur described his role developing the professional speech and debate course at KyungHee University. Hur is also serving as Associate Dean, Graduate School of Journalism and Communications. Former visiting scholar Kwan Eung Lee has expanded the facilities of Eltech Trust Management with a superb new training facility in Ichon City and new office space near KOEX. In his new role as Planning Team/Senior Manager at the Shilla Hotel, 1988 MBA graduate H.J. Sohn is helping develop plans to expand the Shilla network of properties to other countries.
Limbird also held a private meeting May 20 with Mr. Moonam Kim, president of Poong Han Industrial Company Ltd, Seoul. In May 2002, President Blaine Brownell presented Mr. Kim with the BSU President’s Medal of Distinction for his tireless efforts to promote Ball State University
