39: Accidental Damage and Theft Insurance

In a perfect world, you wouldn't need to purchase insurance against accidental damage and theft. The truth is accidents do happen. When a can of soda accidentally spills on your laptop, the Apple Protection Plan (APP) does not cover this type of damage. Check with your homeowner's or renter's insurance policy to be sure that it covers accidental damage, loss, or theft both inside and outside the dorm room.

If your current policy does not cover this, additional insurance may be purchased. SystemSure is a reputable company that offers a plan providing protection against theft, accidental damage, flood, fire, theft, loss, and more.
