75: Changing Your Account Password

If you would like to change (or add) a password to your account, there are just a few simple steps you will need to take.

First, click on the blue apple in the top-left corner of your screen. Scroll down to and select System Preferences.

At the bottom left-hand corner of the System Preferences window should be the Accounts icon (looks like two heads). Click on the Accounts icon. Next, click on the gold lock at the bottom left of the window. You will need your current password to unlock this area. Once you have typed in your current password, you can then click on the button that reads Change Password.

Type in your Old (current) password. Now type in your New passowrd in the next field and verify that password (type it again) in the Verify field.

Click the blue button that reads Change Password.

Quit the System Preferences window and your password will now be the new password you just added.
