74: Windows on the Duo Core - Boot Camp

We strongly recommend that you bring your laptop to the iCare Corner and let us install Windows on your Apple laptop.

If you choose to load Windows on the duo core processor machine, be sure to follow the directions for Boot Camp. You will need a blank CD to load drivers on to and you will need to partition your drive according to instructions in Boot Camp. The entire set-up process is described in the Boot Camp instructions and can take up to four hours.

Once you have loaded the Windows operating system, it will appear as a second hard drive on your desktop, usually called NO NAME or UNTITLED. DO NOT TRASH, MOVE, or REMOVE THIS FILE. Do not change the name of this file. Changing the name of this file or moving it wil cause Windows to no longer work on your machine.

If you have problems or difficulties, please bring your machine and Windows CD's to the iCare Corner.
