71: Apple Protection Plan

Included with your new Macbook or MacBook Pro is an Apple Protection Plan CD that must be installed. This CD inputs a permanent cookie into your system. Your Apple Protection Plan will not be registered until this installation CD has been run.

Once you have inserted the APP CD, a window containing its contents should be displayed on your screen. (If this does not occur, simply double-click the CD icon on your desktop).

Find the icon that reads "Tech Tool Deluxe Installer" and double-click it.


This installer should now walk you through the install process.

The first window you will see is the introduction window.

Click Continue.

Next you should see the License Agreement window. Read this agreement and click Continue.


After you click Continue, you will see a window that requires you to agree to the License Agreement before proceeding. Click the Agree button.


The next page you see should be the install page.

Click Install.

You should now see a window showing you the progress of the installation.

Wait until the installation process has finished.

Once the installation is complete, you should see the "Finish Up" window. Click the Quit button.

Your Apple Protection Plan registration is now complete. Simply eject the CD and put it back with your other software that shipped with your computer.
