58: Microsoft Office 2004

The Microsoft Office Suite issues updates for it's software separate from the Software Updates that come from Apple. The update assistant for MS Office can be set to automatically notify you of possible updates. These updates usually resolve security issues or fix other anomolies. Some simply make improvements to the software. To download the update please do the following:


Open Word. From the Help Menu select "Check For Updates". This will run the MS Auto Update. You will need to close all MS Office applications before the installation will run the updates. Select and install the available updates. You will need to know the password to your machine before you will be allowed to install the updates. Once you have typed in your password, the updates will continue downloading in the background. Some files are fairly large and may take a long time if you download them over the wireless network.
