50: iTunes: Importing music from a CD

Insert CD.
iTunes will automatically get the names of all the songs on your CD if you are connected to the Internet.

If iTunes fails to get the track names and you are connected to the internet, you can click on "Advanced" and select "Get CD Track Names" from the drop down menu.

To manually enter CD track names, select the song or track and click "Get Info" from the "File" drop down menu. Next, select the "Info" tab, and you can now manually enter the name, artist, year, and/or album, etc. in the highlighted fields.

Deselect which songs you would not like to import by unchecking the check box next to the name of the song.
Select “Import”

Songs will automatically begin playing as they import.
After importing is complete, songs will be found in your “Library”
You can now eject your CD.

Note: If you wish to play your CD without importing songs, see "iTunes Preferences" to change your options.
