In addition to purchasing your laptop you may be interested in purchasing some additional accessories. This list includes things that may or may not be of use to you in class.
Mini-DVI to VGA Adapter- This adapter for the MacBook connects the machine to a projector for class presentations. (The MacBook Pro shipped with the adapter included.) These are available at the Computer Showcase Center in RB 134B. See the descriptions on the Apple Web site.
Thumbdrive- This replaces the old floppy disk. It holds much more information than a standard floppy drive and plugs directly into a USB port. These are typically cross platform compatible and are available at the Showcase Center.
Protective Case- Your laptop is fragile and a protective case will help ensure that minimal damage is done to it while you transport it from home to class and back. See the choice offered by Apple. Similar items are available at the Showcase Center.
Printer- Having your own printer can save you time if you need to print out an important document. Instead of going to a public lab and using the shared printer, you can print your document immeadiately.
