24: Wireless Networking at BSU

If your computer has a wireless card, you can access the internet from almost anywhere on campus at BSU. In order to access the internet, you must set up your computer to work on the network. Please note that you must be on campus in order to set up your computer to work on the BSU wireless network.

First, open up your system preferences and select "Network".


Then select Airport under the "Show" drop down menu.


Click on "Show AirPort status in menu bar".


Click "TCP/IP".


Add bsu.edu to search domains


Click "Apply Now" and quit out of System preferences


Click on the Airport Status icon in your menu bar. Select bsu from the list.


Now open either Safari or IE.

You should be taken to a screen that asks you to log in with your Ball State username. After entering your username/password you MUST CLICK LOGIN to successfully log in.


You will then be re-directed to your home page.
