Enrollment Procedure

In order to enroll in a class, you must first be admitted to the Ball State University Graduate School, a process that will likely take a few weeks.

For US Citizens Seeking a Master's Degree from Ball State:

1. If you are not already a BSU student, apply for Admissions as a non-degree graduate student:

Visit the Graduate School Admissions page
www.bsu.edu/gradschool/application.htm

and click on the link to "Apply Online."
Specify "Technology Education" or "Career & Technical Education" (previously listed as "Industrial Vocational / Technical Education") under "Masters Degree" on the Graduate School application and click "Submit Form."

You will be required to submit official transcripts for all undergraduate work, and for any graduate work you plan to transfer in, to:

Graduate School, Ball State University, 2000 West University, Muncie IN USA 47306

(Please ignore instructions to submit a separate transcript to the Department of Technology, unlike most departments at BSU, we do not require it.)

2. After you receive a letter from the Graduate School informing you of your acceptance, register for the course online at:

www.bsu.edu/webapps/sceps/

Visit the course introduction page. Check the "Schedule of Classes" online and make a note of the course title, number, "course reference number" or CRN, section, and beginning and ending dates:

www.bsu.edu/distance/schedule/

For US Citizens Not Seeking a Master's from Ball State:

The steps are the same for  Masters candidates except that you will specify "Non-Degree (Non-Licensure)" on the Admissions form.

For Non-US Citizens Wishing to Enroll from Outside the US

Those who are citizens of other countries wishing to enroll in a degree program or take an online course without leaving their home country can apply for international admissions at http://www.bsu.edu/internationaladmit/disteduapp/. Please follow the special instructions for International Distance Education Applicants found on that page. Foreign students are especially welcomed to these programs. Your knowledge, experiences and views improve the diversity and the quality of classes for all.
