left NOTICE!! right

Information Technology has started the process of phasing out iWeb, the Ball State web publishing service. The technology behind iWeb is becoming increasingly out of date, and there are newer web publishing solutions that offer more features and support for individual websites.

As a first step in this process, we will no longer create new iWeb accounts after May 6, 2016. In addition, we will phase out current non-work related iWeb accounts according to the following schedule. If you need to save any files from your account, please do so before the dates listed below.

  • New iWeb accounts will NOT be created after May 6, 2016.
  • All iWeb websites that have been inactive over the last 12 months will be removed from iWeb on May 6, 2016.
  • Our goal is to migrate all active work-related, organizational, and departmental iWeb sites by December 31, 2016.

For people who have an active iWeb account, please watch for future emails with alternative solutions and support to meet your needs. In addition, we will be working with the Division of Strategic Communications, and the different departments and organizations to determine the best path for migration of your websites from iWeb.

left Introduction right

iWeb is the hosting platform for individual web services at Ball State University. Faculty, staff, and students with BSU Computer Usernames may create their own web site to publish academic or personal information.

Each site, by default, may contain up to 2 Gigabytes of information. You may publish via FTP or turn on the optional FrontPage Server Extension to make full use of the FrontPage publishing client. ASP scripts are also supported.

left Support right
From the iWeb Support Console you can create, manage, and monitor your personal iWeb site. Check your disk quota and disk usage, turn FrontPage Server Extensions on or off, etc. The Support page will continue to grow as new features are implemented.

If you are having trouble with your iWeb site, please check the Support page first, and then the FAQ. If you're still having problems, you may contact the Technology HelpDesk by visiting http://www.bsu.edu/helpdesk where you may review the IT knowledge base or submit a ticket to request assistance. You may also call the Technology HelpDesk at (765)285-1517.
