UGL Donation collection
It is getting to be that time of year again! People are packing up their rooms, and discovering that they have far too much stuff to effectively pack in one box, or one 50 gal. tote, or one truckload. So as you start looking for ways to minimise your load, you stumble across that pile of nerf blasters you bought way back when, and realize, "I never use all of these anymore, in fact, I really only use this one..." and you start to think about ways to lighten your load, and think, "Now wait, I paid (insert dollar amount) for this (blaster name), and it seems a wretch throwing it away." It is.
You could sell it, but that means a lengthy forum post in that one place, and thinking up a description that really sells your product, or flashy pictures, or facebook groups that no one wants to join, and staying on top of the threads in case a buyer shows up, not to mention trying to figure out how much the thing is worth, which is a whole other process alone, of weighing the time you have had it, how much use it has seen, whether its damaged or modded, etc, etc. Then you have to wait patiently for someone to notice it, and have interest, knowing that everyone who is looking is only getting the idea from you and trying to hawk their stuff. Then what if no one buys it? Either way, you're stuck dealing with the thing much longer than you would like, and every passing day makes it that much more of a burden.
Enter Jose, with his next crazy long forum post, saying, how about let UGL sell your stuff?
Donate your blasters, tactical gear, and Dag weapons to UGL, and we will take care of them, jealously hoarding them until the next big event. Then, as all of the new freshman are signing up for things, dreading the long bus ride to wal-mart and the expense involved, and suddenly,
UGL is there, at the rescue, with a fully stocked cart full of gently used nerfs, ready to supply the needy with all the gear they need, at a price they can afford. UGL makes a little change on the side, which gets put toward making future games even better, without dipping deeper into the pockets of the officers.
In order for this magic to happen, however, UGL is depending on you. Donate your unwanted nerfs and nerf accessories to Jose, or any other officer who volunteers in this thread to hold stuff. Post here or PM me if you have a donation, and I will collect it and get it out of your way as soon as possible. Then you can continue your big move, unhindered by your excess gear, and able to sleep better at night, knowing that you have helped the organization achieve a better financial standing.
This message is approved, paid for and parked here by yours truly, and the text at the bottom is part of a legal binding contract that you do not need to read, which stipulates that any donations that UGL receives will be sold for a profit that is the sole property of the organization, and no portion of those moneys will be given to the original owners of the stuff, who have forfeited their right to those funds, in acknowledgement of this clause, which is tiny and silly, and totally super cereal. If you really needed the concept of a donation explained to you, then you are beyond our help.
