Re: Another interesting Blaster
Saw it, used it, hated it, returned it.
And people who know me understand that I just don't return things. Ever.
Really, it's a flawed design. If you throw it forcefully how you'd throw anything normally, it will hit the ground at an angle that shoots ass-backwards back at you. That means you have to become proficient at throwing it so it lands vertically, which is far more effort than a 6-dart scatter is worth. If it shot 15-20 darts, maybe, but no. It is weighted at the front end to help, but it usually doesn't make much of a difference unless you're throwing it so close it's effectiveness is almost null. Also, you have to THROW it, and you've got a better likelihood of actually hitting your target with the weapon itself than with the darts that spray away from whomever you may have hit. It is "padded" and light though (but again, the front end is weighted), so it shouldn't hurt much. As a final condemnation, you actually have to retrieve the thing after you used it, so after you used it you're either committed to the fight or taking the loss.
Is it completely useless? Nah. In fact, I bet someone well-trained could make good use of it. It's also pretty cool and unlike any other weapons on the market, so that's a plus. Overall though, I think you're better off just using something else. If you already own everything in the world and have a pretty confirmed weaponset, THEN you can consider
getting this. That doesn't mean I think you should rely
on it in any capacity.
This is a pretty negative review, but here's a positive one for those interested. http://sgtoyz.blogspot.com/2009/08/lana ... eview.html
