Something that did indeed get lost in the fire that sprung up regarding the Elections this semester is that, completely unaffected by the flaws in the new voting system, Jake Ano was elected to the newly created office of Capture the Flag Administrator, defeating his opponent "No Confidence" by a margin of 48 votes to 7. In recent interviews, No reported being "disappointed at the turn of events," but congratulated Jake on a clean victory, "this time," and assures us she will definitely be making an appearance on the next ballot, stating that nothing can quench her thirst for victory.

That said, Jake will be stepping up as the CtF Admin elect until May 9th, at which time he will officially be the CtF Administrator, taking the reigns from Jenn Banks, who has served the organization faithfully and admirably during her term of office, and helped the CtF department take all the necessary steps to becoming official. Jake will display the Admin rank, but be colored yellow on the forums until his term officially starts. Meanwhile he will be working closely with Jenn to learn the duties and responsibilities of his office in practice, as he is no doubt aware of them on paper.
I apologize for any delay in getting these results up to the public, but given the current climate, everything is under incredible scrutiny, and results have been checked, and rechecked for the utmost of accuracy regarding all elections. That said, I would like to offer my congratulations to Jake for his courage and initiative to step up as a leader for his peers. On behalf of the Executive Board, I would like to wish him the best as he joins our ranks as a servant to the players.
