Tenure-track position available August 19, 2010. Responsibilities: teach courses primarily in the Wellness Management program such as foundations, wellness management administration, and research design from the core offerings and elective courses related to lifespan wellness; actively pursue scholarship (refereed publications and presentations and external funding); advise and directly supervise graduate thesis research and doctoral cognate offerings; supervise students in various real-world, immersive experiences designed to support the students' academic training and serve the community; serve as a representative of the department on university-related and other professional committees; involvement in collaborative research related to wellness management practice. The Wellness Management degree program offers a unique opportunity for students to combine business and health management related coursework. Minimum qualifications: earned doctoral degree from an accredited institution of higher education; excellent communication (verbal, written, and electronic) and technology skills; knowledge of current practices, research and trends in wellness management practice; commitment to academic excellence.
Preferred qualifications: experience teaching at the graduate level in higher education settings; research experience and a proven publication record related to wellness management practice; supervisory experience; record of leadership in field; successful grant writing record.
