Responsibilities: develop University Libraries' collections by performing activities related to the selection, evaluation, acquisition, accessibility, and maintenance of electronic, digital, and other information resources; strengthen and promote collections based on data analysis and understanding of university curricula, programs, and research needs and knowledge of emerging trends in scholarly communications and publishing.
Minimum qualifications: MLS/MLIS/MIS degree from an ALA accredited program at time of appointment; at least one year of experience in library acquisitions, collection management, or electronic resources management; effective oral and written communication skills; working knowledge of basic Microsoft Office applications; ability to work productively and collaboratively in an environment of changes; analytical and problem solving skills. Assignment may require working some evenings and/or weekends.
Preferred qualifications: additional advanced degrees in an academic discipline; academic library experience; experience with approval book plans and library automated systems; familiarity with publishers and issues and trends in publishing.
Salary up to $48,100 plus excellent benefits.
