Marketing Communications Manager, University Libraries

Professional position available immediately.  Major responsibility:  develop and manage the University Libraries' strategic and tactical marketing and communication plans to strengthen and enhance the Libraries' role in the academic life of the university. 

Minimum qualifications: master's degree in journalism, communications, public relations, or fields of business administration at time of appointment; experience in marketing services in areas such as organizational communication, change management/management strategies, or strategic communications; demonstrated skills in data analysis and conducting marketing surveys using focus groups, surveys, and other similar instruments; working knowledge of basic Microsoft Office applications; strong planning and demonstrated implementation skills; demonstrated strong oral/written communications and interpersonal skills; demonstrated experience using traditional media (radio/television/print) and emerging media Web 2.0 tools; may require working some evenings and or weekends.  

Preferred qualifications:  earned doctorate in communications or MLS/MLIS degree from an ALA accredited program; experience in library public relations, promotions work, and/or not-for-profit or government work.  Salary to $46,760 plus excellent benefits.
