Assistant Professor, Department of Political Science

Tenure-track position available August 19, 2010.  Responsibilities:  teach graduate courses in public policy and administration as well as undergraduate courses in state and local government and intergovernmental relations; pursue an active research agenda in policy analysis and state and local government administration.  The department houses the Bowen Center for Public Affairs, which conducts original research and training programs in state and local government policy/administration.

Minimum qualification:
ABD with substantial progress toward completion of dissertation in political science or public administration with a concentration in policy analysis and state and local government administration.  

Preferred qualifications:  Ph.D. completed by August 19, 2010, in political science or public administration with a concentration in policy analysis and state and local government administration; record of scholarly activity; teaching at the college level; interest in working with interns and government agencies.  Excellent benefits, including retiree health care and 100% pension contribution for eligible employees.
