Assessment Research Analyst, Academic Assessment and Institutional Research
 

 

Professional position available immediately. 

Responsibilities:  coordinating and conducting assessment-related research projects, including collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data; writing technical reports; coordinating and supervising university-wide testing efforts; providing technical support for research projects; organizing and maintaining computerized data files; supervising assigned graduate or undergraduate students.

Minimum qualifications: bachelor's degree in psychology, sociology, education, or related area and three years of experience in higher education research OR master's degree in psychology, sociology, education, or related area; experience with survey research, including data collection and analysis; demonstrated mastery of computer skills, including word processing and database management; excellent communication and organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and function independently.

Preferred qualifications:  experience with large-scale higher education projects and report writing, especially projects related to programmatic assessment and institutional effectiveness; experience with qualitative research techniques, such as conducting focus groups and case studies; familiarity with SPSS or similar statistical package.
