External Communications/Funding Manager, Office of the Dean, College of Architecture and Planning

Professional contract position available immediately, or as negotiated.  Responsibilities:  identify grants and other project funding opportunities for the College of Architecture and Planning; develop/design and disseminate public relations material increasing the national visibility of the college; develop and submit documentation for funding applications; administer and report grant activity once secured.  Minimum qualifications: bachelor's degree; two years of professional grant preparation experience, including budget development; demonstrated presentation and public speaking experience; superior writing skills; good marketing and graphic design skills; working knowledge of current design/planning-related industry.   

Preferred qualifications:  master's degree; work experience in the academic or other non-profit environments.

The College of Architecture and Planning is a national leader and has approximately 50 faculty in the Departments of Architecture, Landscape Architecture, and Urban Planning.  The college also hosts five centers and institutes, and design centers in Indianapolis and Muncie.  The college offers baccalaureate and master's degrees to over 700 students.
