Rob Hall has published Voices of the People: Democracy and Chartist Political Identity, 1830—1870, with the Merlin Press (2007). He also received a prestigious Summer Stipend from the National Endowment for the Humanities in 2007. Hall was elected a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society in 2001. He served as the associate editor of volumes eight and nine of the Correspondence of James K. Polk.
