Graduating History Majors, 2006 - Future Plans

Graduation is nearing for many undergraduate and graduate students.  We asked our soon to be alumni to share their plans following graduation at Ball State University.  Listed below are responses... (for more information on Spring Commencement, May 6, 2006, click  here .)

Christine A. Baker Attending IUPUI School of Library and Information Science to attain a MLS
Erica Nicole Brock Internship at Paws Inc. then Graduate school at undecided university
Seantae Monique Byers I plan to serve in with the AmeriCorps organization for a year. After that I plan to attend graduate school.
Joshua Eme Will be working in Allen County- of Indiana in a U.S. History teaching position. Within 3 years- my plans are to return to Ball State to earn a masters in either education or in history. I have plans of someday getting my administrators' license and working in Northern Indiana.
Corinne Erwin I will attend the School of Law at Hamline University in St. Paul- Mn.
Nick Holliday Take a break and then get a job- hopefully somewhere around here
Amy  Janeczek I am moving to Milwaukee- WI where I will teach in an urban school system.
Laife A. Janovyak I have been invited to serve in the Peace Corps as an NGO Advisor in the E. Europe/Central Asia region.  (I won't know which country until later this week or early next week.)  So that's what I'll be up to for the next two years and after that we'll see what seems best.  I'm leaving June 12, 2006
Bart LaBounty I plan on pursuing a MA/PhD in history (20th c. U.S. political history) or political science (poltical theory and/or U.S. politics). I will most likely be staying at BSU for my MA.
Kate Elizabeth Moore Teaching History at Modern Knowledge School in Bahrain.
Trina Moser Find a teaching position in a secondary school teaching social studies.
David T. Pletcher I am planning to attend Wake Forest in the Fall of 2006.  I will be studying to achieve a Master's degree in Liberal Studies.
Mycal Charles Rodenbeck As of now try and find that perfect teaching job- as well as look into possible jobs in my other major field: Aquatics.  Oh yeah- try and enjoy life no matter what!!
Ashlee D. Russeau-Pletcher I am planning to attend Wake Forest in the Fall of 2006.
