Important! Please read and understand the following information before registering for Panhellenic Sorority Formal Recruitment.
Academic Requirements to be eligible for Recruitment.
Incoming Freshmen:
- Have an Academic Index* of a 2.5 OR
- Be in the top 60% of the high school graduating class OR
- Be in the top 70% of the high school graduating class and have a 1465 SAT or 19 ACT
Ball State or Transfer Students:
- Completed at least 12 hours of course work
- Have a cumulative grade point average of a 2.5
This information is verified and women not meeting these requirements will not eligible for sorority formal recruitment.
*An Academic Index is different than a High School GPA. An Academic Index reflects your academic performance in core high school classes (i.e. math, science, etc.). Contact the Student Life office at 765-285-2621 if you have questions about your eligibility.
Academic Record Release:
- When registering for you recruitment, you will be asked to authorize Ball State University Registration and Records Office to disclose the following information contained in my education records: high school scholastic information, total semester report (schedule, grades, hours, etc.), semester and cumulative grade point average and hours completed to the Assistant Director of Student Life to inform sororities of individual recruitment eligibility, recognition, and education needs.
Registration Fee:
- A $25 registration fee is charged to all women taking part in the recruitment process. You can pay by check, money order, cash or online payment.
