Basic Position Responsibilities
- Participate in the training program from August 15 to August 19, 2007.
- Participate in staff development programs of Student Life and the Division of Student Affairs.
- Submit a weekly report on the chapter, housing operations and scholarship issues to supervisor by 8:00 a.m. Monday mornings.
- Uphold all National, local and university policies.
- Act as a role model for students understanding that this position is a highly visible one on and off campus.
- To not engage in any inappropriate relationships with any undergraduate students.
- Advise the Phi Sigma Kappa, Phi Delta Theta and Sigma Nu fraternities in all areas of housing and chapter operations. See fraternity graduate advisor job description for specific duties. (50%)
- Coordinate Greek scholarship initiatives including the Greek academic advisor, revising the IFC Academic Policy, Fraternity Advisory Committee academic sanctions, midterm deficiency meetings and publishing academic rankings. (15%)
- Coordinate and conduct a meeting each semester with new member educators and scholarship chairs to discuss the scholarship component of the new member program and to ensure that those officers understand the objectives and expectations of the new member scholarship program. (10%)
- Assist chapter scholarship chairs with developing and implementing a scholarship plan. (10%)
- Assist chapters in locating and utilizing their faculty advisors. Develop a Greek specific faculty advisor handbook and develop a process to recruitment new faculty advisors. (5%)
- Serve as a facilitator at the Greek Leadership Summit. (5%)
- Create a GA transition binder and CD. (5%)
- Additional duties will be assigned based on interests and skills in particular areas.
