Panhellenic Graduate Advisor
Basic Position Responsibilities

  1. Participate in the training program from August 15 to August 19, 2007.
  2. Participate in staff development programs of Student Life and the Division of Student Affairs.
  3. Submit a weekly report with project updates and staff meeting announcements to supervisor by 8:00 a.m. Monday mornings.
  4. Uphold all National, local and university policies.
  5. Act as a role model for students understanding that this position is a highly visible one on and off campus.
  6. To not engage in any inappropriate relationships with any Greek undergraduate students.
Specific Position Responsibilities

  1. Co-advise the Panhellenic Council and its executive officers, specifically the Pi Chi Director and Philanthropy/Community Service Director.  This includes attending weekly executive meetings, council meetings, officer roundtables and meeting with individual officers once a month. (25%)
  2. Co-advise the planning and implementation of sorority recruitment as well as recruit, train and advise the Panhellenic Counselors (Pi Chi's). (10%)
  3. Advise GAMMA (Greeks Advocating for the Mature Management of Alcohol) and assist with program development. (10%)
  4. Advise the Greek councils in the areas of philanthropy and community service and regulations and requirements for acceptable community service and philanthropy. Assist with the creation and implementation of an all-Greek community service project. (10%)
  5. Track philanthropy donations and community service hours using the Access database program. (15%)
  6. Solicit feedback and interest in organizing a Greek alternative spring break. (5%)
  7. Develop a process to schedule Greek philanthropy events prior to priority dates process. (5%)
  8. Serve as a liaison to Student Voluntary Services. (5%)
  9. Serve as a facilitator at the Greek Leadership Summit. (5%)
  10. Review chapter Greek Excellence reports and participate in the Grand Chapter awards selection process. (5%)
  11. Create a GA transition binder and CD. (5%)
  12. Additional duties will be assigned based on interests and skills in particular areas.
