National Pan-Hellenic Council
General Information
The National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) at Ball State represents 6 fraternities and sororities; 5 which are comprised historically of African-Americans and 1 historically Latina sorority. The NPHC promotes interaction through forums, meetings and other mediums for the exchange fo information and engages in cooperative programming and intiatives through various activities and functions. Taken from their statement of purpose - "The NPHC is to foster cooperative actions of its members in dealing with matters of mutual concern, promoting the well-being of its affiliate fraternities and sororities, facilitating the establishment and development of local councils of the NPHC and providing leadership training for its constituents."
Intake Information
Intake is the process by which NPHC chapters extend membership to new men and women. Typically this process happens after a minimum number of credit hours have been completed. Students seeking membership in an NPHC organization should visit the Ball State Greek Life website to research NPHC organizations of interest and contact chapters directly to inquire about their membership intake process.
