Academics/Faculty Interaction Observations

The Ball State Greek community has struggled recently when it comes to academics. Faculty members at Ball State should become integral parts of supporting the Greek community.

Create academic advisor position for IFC and Faculty Council for Greek community. Members can serve as mentors, academic advisors, chapter advisors, and advocates.
Study hour system for IFC should not be mandatory
Recruitment standards and members expectations for councils and chapters need to remain high, clear and enforced. Grades must be checked BEFORE bids are given out.
Publish academic rankings in recruitment materials.
SOA, councils, and chapters should explore opportunities for a tutoring program, academic mentor program, and a more flexible grade reporting system.
