There is a great need for Greek housing to become more conducive to a learning/living environment. The university is interested in helping to create such housing opportunities for the Greek community. This would help to stabilize finances for many chapters.
- Make encumbrance policy available to PHC sororities and NPHC groups.
- Suggestions for university:
- Make the project for updating sorority suites a priority.
- Explore ways that they could do the collections for chapters when it came to house bills.
- Explore ways to give premium plan exceptions or vouchers for fraternities that operate at a very high performing level in certain areas.
- Establish clear expectations for the upkeep of fraternity houses.
- House corporation presidents, chapter presidents, and SOA need to get together to identify ways to deal with the live-in policy enforcement.
- Require that all chapters have an active and participatory housing corporation and hold periodic housing meetings between university officials and chapter, alumni leaders, and housing corporations.
