The mission of the doctoral program in audiology is to educate and train students as audiologists qualified to work in all clinical settings. The program:
- is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA).
- Includes the academic and practicum requirements needed for Indiana state licensure and the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) awarded by ASHA.

Applied Opportunities
- Students are required to enroll in a 12-month, full-time clinical rotation in the final year of their academic program. Sites are available throughout the United States.
- This 12-month experience replaces the Clinical Fellowship Year for Au.D. students
Application /Admission Requirements
- Students must meet the admission requirements of the Graduate School and submit a completed Graduate School application.
- Strong GPA (minimum of 3.2 preferred)
- GRE scores (minimum of 500 verbal and quantitative sections preferred)
- Three letters of recommendation (required forms included in application packet)
- Transcripts of all previous graduate and undergraduate coursework
- Statement of purpose
- On-campus visit (desired, but not required)
- Departmental application deadline is Feb. 1.
- International students must apply through the Rinker Center for International Programs.
Graduate Assistantships
Several assistantships are available within the department. Each provides tuition remission and stipend. (Students are responsible for dedicated fees.)
