Applied Opportunities
Several college-based academic centers and programs support our learning objectives:
- Center for Energy Research, Education, and Service focuses on issues related to energy and resource use, alternatives, and conservation. (www.bsu.edu/ceres)
- Building Futures Institute (BFI) conducts research in open building, building science, the building industry, computational methods, and building culture. (Building Futures Institute)
- CapAsia field study program immerses students in south Asia for ten weeks every other spring semester. (CapAsia)
International students may work in architectural offices as part of a curricular practical training program if the employment is relevant to the student's thesis or creative project.
Scholars in Residence work exclusively with graduate students for days, sometimes weeks.
