The purpose of the Office of Governmental Relations is to represent the interests of Ball State University at the state and local level through direct contact with members of the Indiana General Assembly, as well as state and federal agencies.

    University officials track federal and state legislation, monitor budget appropriations, work with elected officials and government agencies, and provide information and research findings.  The office also works closely with the Indiana Commission for Higher Education on issues related to Ball State University and Higher Education policy in Indiana.
