Tiered in:  content

Tiered according to:  interest

Tier I:  Students will read their science textbook, Discovery Works-Life Cycles, pages A46-A49.  Students will create a poster to explain the life cycle of flowering plants.  Each member, within their group, will role-play one part of life cycle and explain its purpose.

Tier II:  Students will read their science textbook Discovery Works-Life Cycles, pages A52-A55.  Students will create a poster to explain the life cycle of conifers.  Each member, within their group, will role-play one part of a life cycle and explain its purpose.

Assessment:  Use Rubric as found in “Product Guide” folder to evaluate poster.  Observe students in their groups and as they role-play their part of life cycle.  Students will share their products.  Through class discussion, students will compare and contrast the two life cycles.
