Additional Information

Ball State University is proud to serve as a host for the 2008 Insurance Education Institute for middle and high school teachers. The program is funded by grants from the Insurance Education Foundation (www.ief.org) and provides three hours of graduate-level credit to participating teachers.

The program is open to the first 35 qualified participants. This generous grant covers expenses for the participants including tuition, room and board, and educational materials (excludes travel expenses).

To be eligible, applicants must be teaching a course leading to a high school diploma that contains insurance education. Teachers in the following and related disciplines are encouraged to apply: business, mathematics, economics, drivers education, and family and consumer sciences.

The program will be taught using a blended-learning approach that will include online and on-campus components.

Online Component:  Access materials anytime after May 5, 2008
On-Campus Component: June 23-27, 2008
