Founded by Ms. Sandy Marshall, in honor of her father, the Marshall Scholarship recognizes students who are committed to diversity-related work in their communities, on campus, and in society at large.

Write an essay that includes a description of each of the following:
The nature and extent of your work addressing issues of diversity in your community, on campus, and/or in society at large. (Maximum 250 words) Winners' essays will be posted on the OID website. *

Applicants are also requested to supply the following information: Material due by APRIL 15TH, 2013
 
BSU transcript (if requested to be sent as a hard copy by mail there is no charge from Ball State University)
 
Two letters of recommendation written by faculty, staff, or community representatives who are familiar with your diversity-related work and academic achievement. At least one letter must be from a campus representative. Please email letters to oid@bsu.ed
 
I understand that if I am awarded & accept the scholarship, I will enroll at BSU during the 2013-2014 school year for at least 12 credit hours (undergraduate)/ 6 credit hours (graduate) each semester, participate in diversity-related activities on campus.
 
Winners will be expected to give an update of their diversity related activities during the year of the scholarship is awarded. Applicants are also requested to supply a recent and acceptable photograph.
