SGA Leadership Fund Application
***FUNDS ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE FOR THE 2012-2013 ACADEMIC YEAR. Any fund requests must be for conferences taking place after 7/1/13.***The Student Government Association has created a Leadership Fund to help assist undergraduate students in developing leadership skills by attending leadership conferences. The fund can cover a portion of, or the entire conference registration fee required of the student. The conference should teach, develop, or improve leadership skills, and provide training to become a better leader on campus or within a specific organization.
To submit a request for this fund, complete the on-line application below and submit it 30 days prior to the conference registration deadline. After your application is reviewed, you will be notified by email. When multiple students apply to attend the same conference, there will be a limit of $400 per conference. If multiple applications are submitted for one conference, the current Chief of Staff will have discretion to award the fund as they see fit. If you have any questions about the fund, contact SGA Chief of Staff Stephanie Woolley at firstname.lastname@example.org. If your application is approved, you will be reimbursed for the conference registration fee. Please pay for the conference upfront and submit a receipt (including the conference name, dates of conference, your name, and the amount paid) to the Student Government Treasurer in SC 112. You will need to provide a receipt, your address, and Ball State ID to receive reimbursement. Note: You must click the SUBMIT button at the bottom of the screen in order for the application to be submitted.

I understand that if chosen to receive financial support, I will be required to attend the conference and present at a Senate meeting within six (6) Senate sessions after attending the conference. The presentation should be approximately 5-10 minutes long and include a description of the conference attended, key points of interest or a special program developed from my experiences at the conference, and an electronic presentation to accompany my verbal presentation. Following my presentation, a script of my presentation and an electronic copy of my supporting documents will be kept in the SGA office as a resource for future students and leaders on campus.
