Student Life SVS Welcome Week Service Project Registration

Service Project Description

Ball State students have a long history and tradition of giving back to the Muncie community. This year’s Welcome Week Service Project is your opportunity to begin your tradition of service. Join other new students as they give of their time to the Second Harvest Food Bank on Friday, August 15, 2014, from 9:00am – 11:00am. Please report to the SVS Office, SC 136, by 8:30am. You will arrive back to campus by no later than 11:30am.

The service project is limited to the first 42 students who sign up. Students must wear old clothes and close-toed shoes, as well as bring a Ball State ID.

Second Harvest Food Bank

Second Harvest Food Bank, formerly located in Anderson, Indiana, recently relocated to Muncie and needs your help. Serving 8 counties in Central Indiana, Second Harvest has distributed over 4 million pounds of groceries to those in need in addition to providing leadership in addressing hunger issues in our society.
