Admission Requirements:
Applicants must meet the Admissions of the Graduate School. The department also requires all applicants to submit to the department a letter of intent, a resume, and two letters of recommendation.
Typically applicants are submitted two to nine months prior to beginning the graduate program.
Students must be admitted both to one of our departmental programs and to the Graduate School to enroll as a degree student in Family and Consumer Sciences.
Those applying for the MS in Dietetics must provide an original, signed American Dietetic Association Verification of Completion Statement from the Didactic Program in Dietetics director or a Declaration of Intent to complete a dietetic program in dietetics that indicates academic work was completed within the last five years. Courses for verification must be completed before the MS in Dietetics is granted.
The department also offers the American Dietetic Association Dietetic Internship with classes beginning in January and June. Those admitted to the internship must meet the didactic requirements and have completed nine graduate hours from Ball State.
