SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE FOR INCOMING FRESHMEN 2008 - 2009- MOORE SCHOLARSHIPS: The department plans to award up to five scholarships of $3500, renewable for up to three additional years for a total of $14,000 to each recipient. - EA and EE BURGESS SCHOLARSHIPS: Open to students who will be freshmen, sophomores, juniors, or seniors at the beginning of the school year. Students must be graduates of either, Muncie Central HS or Connersville HS, and pursuing Hospitality and Food Management, Dietetics, or Vocational FCS Education. Minimum GPA of 2.0 (preferably 2.0 - 3.4 range). Amount varies year to year; generally $600. Must demonstrate financial need as determined on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
- HELEN J. SNYDER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIPS: Open to students who will be freshmen, sophomores, juniors or seniors at the beginning of the school year. Preference will be given to HOSPITALITY AND FOOD MANAGEMENT and DIETETICS majors with a financial need as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Amount varies year to year; generally multiple awards $200-700.
- JOYCE RASDALL SCHOLARSHIPS: Open to students who will be freshmen, sophomores, juniors or seniors at the beginning of the school year. Preference will be given to Family and Consumer Sciences Interior Design majors. Amount varies from year to year.

- Residential property management (RPM) Advisory Board Merit Endowment Scholarship: For the 2008-09 academic year, one scholarship in the amount of $2500 will be awarded to an incoming freshman. This scholarship is renewable in that amount up to three additional years for a total of $10,000 to the recipient. The recipient of the award will be known as a RPM Advisory Board Merit Scholar. AUDREY MALONE FINN SCHOLARSHIPS: For information, contact Office of Admissions. Open to freshmen. Preference will be given to Family and Consumer Sciences EDUCATION majors. Amount varies, generally $1000-$2000. Financial need not a priority consideration. Must be an Indiana State citizen. Entering freshmen may receive the award if they were a member of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA or FHA/HERO) in high school and have a "B" average. Scholarship is renewable. |

SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE FOR BSU DEPT. OF FAMILY AND CONSUMER SCIENCES MAJORS AFTER THEY BECOME BALL STATE STUDENTS:
- MILDRED JOHNSON MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIPS: Amount varies year to year; generally $300-600. Must demonstrate financial need as determined by information submitted on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Contact FCS Dept. Committee, (765) 285-5931.
- MILDRED MOORE SCHOLARSHIPS: Amount varies year to year; generally $400-600. Financial need a factor only when all other personal qualifications are approximately equal. Must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Contact FCS Dept. Committee, (765) 285-5931.
- AUDREY T. DILLON MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP: Amount varies year to year; generally $200-500. Must demonstrate financial need as determined by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Contact FCS Dept. Committee, (765) 285-5931.
- RESIDENTIAL PROPERTY MANAGEMENT SCHOLARSHIPS: For the 2008-09 academic year one Senior Scholarship, up to 10 General Scholarships and 4 Travel Scholarships will be awarded. Students may apply for multiple scholarships, but each scholarship requires a separate application. Details and requirements for each scholarship follow:
- Senior Scholarship: One $1000 scholarship is awarded each year to an outstanding undergraduate RPM major that will complete his/her degree in the following year. The student must have a minimum 2.75 overall GPA and a 3.0 GPA in the major. Scholarship funds are generated by contributions made by Capital members of the RPM Advisory Board and named for individual member companies. The student selected for this award also serves as the Student Representative on the RPM Advisory Board. - General Scholarships: Several tuition scholarships of $500 each are available each year to current undergraduate RPM majors. Scholarship funds are generated by annual contributions by members of the RPM Advisory Board. Applicants must be enrolled in or have already completed FCSMR 235 "Intro to RPM," have a minimum overall GPA of 2.75 and a 3.0 GPA in the major. - Travel Scholarship for 2008 National Apartment Association (NAA) Annual Educational Conference and Exposition: Up to four students are eligible each year to attend the National Apartment Association (NAA) Education Conference and Exposition. Both undergraduate RPM majors and RPM graduate students are eligible to apply. NAA provides complimentary registration for these students to attend the conference, and the RPM Advisory Board covers lodging expenses. - MARIANNE GLICK SCHOLARSHIP: initially established as the Gene B. Glick Scholarship for a Residential Property Management student in the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences at Ball State University in November 2001. A $2500 scholarship has been and will continue to be awarded annually to a student in the program. Criterion for selection is based on merit and need. - INDIANA REALTORS EDUCATION FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP: A $1000 scholarship available to a Residential Property Management Student at Ball State University. This scholarship was established for the RPM Program in the 2003-04 academic year. The purpose of this award is to provide scholarships to students enrolled in the Property Management program or similar areas in the real estate field. Applicants must be residents of the state of Indiana and who have received academic recognition.
