Admission Requirements

Additional Requirements after acceptance into the internship

An applicant must have reliable, insured transportation
An applicant must have personal health and liability insurance
An applicant must have completed a Baccalaureate program
An applicant must have successfully completed a minimum of the required 9 prerequisite graduate credit hours at Ball State University (6 of the 9 credit hours need to be from the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences) prior to the start of the internship.
An applicant must maintain a graduate grade point average of 3.0 (B average) or better
An applicant must be willing to relocate to another Indiana community. (Graduate credit will be earned in Muncie, IN, supervised practice experience will take place in other communities.
If requested, an applicant must be interviewed by the program director.
