Ball State University offers 2 (two) dietetic internship classes each calendar year. One begins in January of each year. Interns for the January are selected in the spring computer match. The second begins in May of each year. Interns for the May are selected in the fall computer match.
Prior to the start of each internship class, each intern will be required to complete a minimum of 9-Graduate Credits at Ball State University. 6 of the 9 credit hours must be completed in the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences. Interns must hold a 3.0 graduate GPA or higher to begin the internship.
Interns will earn 9-graduate credits during the weeks of supervised practice. Interns must earn a 3.0 or higher in each of the 3-credit graduate classes that compose the internship to receive a verification statement.
The area of cconcentration for the Dietetic Internship at Ball State will be Nutrition Therapy.
