Magda L.Pollard has served as a Home Economics educator, author and administrator. After graduation from university she led the Carnegie School of Home Economics in Guyana and graduated a long line of Caribbean Home Economists. Her Leadership has stretched across the Caribbean, in the United Nations and England. As the first appointed Head of Women's affairs for the Caribbean, CARICOM organization, she has advocated for the education and leadership development of women and girls. She has built relationships among educational institutions, governments and non-governmental organizations. Magda's tireless efforts to empower women through her home economics classes, leadershop workshops and international advocacy has improved the lives of countless individuals families and communities for decades.
