Foundation accounts available for gifts
If you are considering a contribution to support the department's activities, be aware of the following:

  • When giving gifts to Ball State University, you may designate the way you wish the gift to be used. The Ball State University Foundation Family and Consumer Sciences (formerly Home Economics) accounts listed below are available for alumni and friends of the university to contribute to specific programs.
  • If you wish your gift to help Family and Consumer Sciences, you should write the Family and Consumer Sciences account number on your check. This should be done each time a contribution is made.
  • Send contributions to:   Ball State University Foundation, Alumni Center, 2800 West Bethel Avenue, Muncie, IN   47306-0075
  • Checks must be made payable to Ball State University Foundation.

Ball State University Family and Consumer Science Foundation Accounts:

#3901-Family and Consumer Sciences General Fund - This account provides additional support for department needs not funded by the university budget.

#3902-Family Nutrition Education Center - These funds support and advance the nutrition counseling program.

#3903-Evalena Snipes Award - These awards honor outstanding students in the Family and Consumer Sciences honors program.

#3904-Beeman Historic Costume Collection - This account supports a graduate assistant, supplies and small equipment costs for the maintenance and storage of the collection.

#3905-Family and Consumer Sciences Alumni Association Fund - This account provides support for alumni activities and programs of the Family and Consumer Sciences Alumni Association.

#3906-Residential Property Management - This account provides support for activities of the Residential Property Management program.

#3907-RPM Advisory Board Legacy Scholarship - Scholarships are awarded to Ball State University students at the discretion of the Resident Property Management Advisory Board.

#3908-FCS Child Study Center - To support the general operations of the FCS Child Study Center

#3950-Mildred Johnson Memorial Scholarship Fund - Income from this account provides annual Family and Consumer Sciences scholarships.

#3951-Audrey Tower Dillon Scholarship Fund - Proceeds from this account provide scholarships to Family and Consumer Sciences majors who demonstrate financial need and have maintained a minimum grade point average.

#3954-Mildred Moore Scholarship Fund - Income provides scholarships for students pursuing careers in Family and Consumer Sciences and who demonstrate strong intellectual ability.

#3955-Helen J. Snyder Scholarship Fund - Income from this account provides scholarships to Family and Consumer Sciences majors with preference given to students who are interested in food and nutrition and who demonstrate financial need.

#3956-Audrey Malone Finn Scholarship Fund - Proceeds from this account provide scholarships to Family and Consumer Sciences majors with preference given to teaching majors.

#3959-Marianne Glick Scholarship - This scholarship will be awarded to Residential Property Management students.

#3964 -Joan R. McFadden Scholarship - The purpose of this fund is to support a graduate assistantship for a Ball State University graduate student whose work will be assigned to the Family and Consumer Sciences Teacher Educator in the Department of Family and Consumer Sciences.

#3965-Joyce O. Rasdall Memorial Scholarship - The purpose of this account is to provide scholarships to Ball State University Interior Design students.

#3966-RPM Advisory Board merit Endowment Scholarship - This scholarship will be awarded to incoming freshmen in the Residential Property Management program.
