The Residential Property Management Program at Ball State once again achieved a 100% pass rate on the Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) exam. This is the fourth consecutive semester for this achievement.
Graduate student Shannon Mitchell (St. Louis, MO) and undergraduate students Mindy Green (Hartford City, IN) and Amanda Hirtzel (Muncie, IN) took the exam. These students will graduate in December and are currently evaluating employment offers. The CAM designation is expected to further increase their employment opportunities.
The Certified Apartment Manager designation is an educational program through the National Apartment Association. Ball State RPM majors and graduate students cover the eight content areas through the RPM curriculum:
- Property Maintenance
- Finance
- Human Resources Management
- Management for Residential Issues
- Risk Management
- Fair Housing
- Marketing
- Legal Responsibilities
In addition to mastering the subject matter, RPM students must also complete a comprehensive Apartment Community Analysis Project and an internship.
