Angela Ahrendts, '93, has again landed an outstanding position in the fashion world. In late 2005 she was named head of Burberry Group, PLC, taking the helm from Rose Mari Bravo.

Her distinguished career has taken her from Donna Karan to Henri Bendel to Liz Claiborne, and now overseas to Burberry.

An article in the publication Guardian stated, "At 45, Ahrendts is considered a veteran executive in the fashion business who has twice proven herself by turning slow-moving fashion companies into sleeker models".  It describes Ahrendts as a terrific leader with the ability to drive creative teams with financial savvy.

She was awarded the FCS Alumni Award of Achievement in 2003.
