Transfer Information
Course transfer
Check to see if a course from another university will transfer into your BSU program.  It is an easy process. Just follow the instructions listed below

PRINTING A REFERENCE DAPR

A reference DAPR is just like a regular DAPR (Degree Analysis Progress Report), except that it will include any courses at another specified university for which  transfer equivalents at Ball State have been identified.  Thus, you can register at that school with assurance that the courses you take will transfer for productive credit.

Keep in mind, though, that there are many courses at other universities that haven't been evaluated and there may be more choices than what appears on the reference DAPR.  If you want to take a course other than what is depicted on the reference DAPR as transferable, you will need the course description in the other university's catalog and bring it to a meeting with your academic advisor.

1. Go to a computer with web access and enter the URL:
http://www.bsu.edu/apps/dapr/

2. Choose "Run a New DAPR".

3. On the following screen:

a. Enter a two-digit/letter identification for the DAPR.
b. Indicate the current year/term for which the student is registered
c. Indicate any terms for which the student has requested courses
d. Do NOT
press the first "Continue" button; instead scroll on to the next item.
e. Enter the state in which you intend to pursue transfer credit.
f. Press the second "Continue" button.

4. The next screen will allow you to choose an institution from a pull-down list. Do this and press "Continue." If your institution is not listed, contact tholaday@bsu.edu.

5. The next screen will inform you that running a DAPR can take up to 3 minutes. In reality, it almost always process in less than 10 seconds. Count to 10 and press "DAPR List".

6. On the next page, you should see the number you gave your DAPR report (step 3a). If you do not, wait a bit and then click on "Refresh." When your number appears, click on it.

7. The resulting DAPR will have a number of courses appearing in one of two colors, BLUE for a course you have not yet taken at BSU, but that is part of your UCC or Major/Minor curriculum and GREEN (in carrots {}) for equivalent courses at the university you have opted to reference.

Reference DAPRS are only accurate for a short period of time. Once you enter a new registration period, you should run a new reference DAPR to avoid making use of out-of-date equivalencies or missing out on new equivalency agreements!
