Residential Property Management (MA/MS)
Ball State offers one of the few graduate programs in residential property management (RPM) in the United States.  Graduates of the program are in high demand and have secured professional positions with residential management companies and housing communities throughout the country.   Your degree will help you advance to high-level management positions.

The RPM program is comprehensive, covering all aspects of housing and property management.  If you do not have an undergraduate background in RPM, you may be required to take a few undergraduate courses in addition to your graduate courses to become familiar with the industry.

In your graduate courses, you will learn about the principles that guide the design, marketing, and management of housing for older adults and study government-assisted housing programs and the role of management in meeting the needs of owners, residents, and regulatory agencies.   You will learn industry standards, explore trends in the industry, and find out how to analyze apartment communities for competitiveness and profitability in the multifamily housing market.  To help you practice your skills in a real-world environment and gain industry experience, you may complete an internship.

You will also benefit from the involvement of an active advisory board of industry professionals.   The advisory board helps to ensure the curriculum is relevant and up to date and provides internship and networking opportunities for students.
