Transportation Services

Transportation services provides safe, economical, and appropriate ground transportation for faculty, staff and students as they perform their official duties through the United States and Canada.

The University bus service provides buses for student field trips, athletic teams, and other campus activities. Contact the transportation office at least two weeks before your trip to schedule a bus. Lift-equipped buses are available.

Garage

The Ball State University Garage offers a full range of automotive services including preventive maintenance, repairs, and 24-hour refueling. The Garage is staffed with ASE-certified mechanics with a combined experience of over 150 years.  The garage maintains vehicles, generators, agricultural, and landscape equipment. The garage is open Monday-Saturday from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. Call 285-5815 to arrange for servicing of a university vehicle.

The university motor pool maintains a small fleet of automobiles and vans for temporary business use by the campus community. The motor pool is open 6:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday and 6:00 am to 12:00 noon Sunday. Special arrangements may be made to pick up a vehicle outside these hours by calling the reservation desk at 285-1022. A valid driver's license for all drivers must be shown at the time of vehicle pickup.

Shuttle buses run on a continuous route from Scheidler Apartments to the South Bus Shelter located near the Student Center. Shuttle bus service is available during fall and spring semesters.
