LIT Offers More Scholarships and Awards
The LIT Board approved an increase in the number of scholarships LIT will offer to its members.  LIT will offer two $1000 scholarships each year, and that number will be increased as finances allow. See the Scholarships and Contests page for more information.

LIT has also increased the number of awards it gives for the best publications in the LIT Journal.  We now offer four $100 prizes: best poem, best short story, best essay, and best critical piece. So submit your work to our journal and you will be entered in this competition.

Startup Money for New and Reactivated Chapters
The Board also decided to encourage the growth of LIT by offering startup money to new and reactivated chapters. We will offer $100 to new chapters and $50 to reactivated ones to help them get started until they can begin making money through their own fund raisers. If you have friends at other colleges and universities who might be interested in starting an LIT chapter, let them know about this opportunity and have them get in touch with Professor Hozeski at bhozeski@bsu.edu .
