Penscape 2007
GSAB has extended the deadline for creative writing submissions from graduate students in the English Department for Penscape. Students whose work is selected will read for ten minutes before an audience of faculty and peers.
Please
submit your creative writing for consideration by
October 31st. Submissions
should be sent as Microsoft Word attachments to Jessica Millis at:
jmmillis@bsu.edu. Include the genre category you'd like to be
considered for (poetry, fiction, creative non-fiction)in the body of your
e-mail message.
Submissions should be no
longer than 10 double-spaced pages. Excerpts from longer works are
acceptable, but must stand on their own. Students submitting must be
graduate students in the English department or have completed a graduate
level Creative Writing course.
The reading will take place:
Tuesday, November 13th
7-9 PM in Bracken Library, RM 225
Penscape is a great opportunity to share your work with a supportive, enthusiastic audience. Reading aloud in this kind of relaxed atmosphere also allows you to view your work from an entirely different perspective. So send the pieces you've been working on and share your work with those of us who are most excited to listen.
