Creative Writing in the Community: Performance Reading
Students in English 409 (Creative Writing in the Community) will read excerpts of poetry and prose written in collaboration with their partners from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Delaware County, CrownPointe Communities, Hillcroft Services, Inc., and Motivate Our Minds. This is the seventh year of the immersive learning project that matches students with clients from the social service agencies, meeting throughout the semester to write and revise their partners' stories. Sign-up sheets will be posted for copies of Writing Out of the Margins: Volume 7 that will be released the following week and that contains the entire original works. Please join us for this unique and special event that is hosted by BSU English Department and funded by Majorie Hiner, BSU alumna, and her husband, Homer.
